Learn How to Conduct a Do-It-Yourself Home Inspection to Prevent Crime

Community members are invited to attend the Annual Spring Community Meeting of Neighborhood Watch tonight (Tuesday, April 14) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Joslyn Community Center.

The meeting will include a“DIY” (Do-it-yourself) Home Security Inspection to learn simple and affordable ways to secure your home and prevent neighborhood crime. There will be a demonstration of a DIY Home Security Inspection.

Charlotte Lesser, director of the city's Neighborhood Watch program, and Manhattan Beach Police Chief Eve R. Irvine will address Volunteer Block Captains and community members. The presentation lasts from 7 to 8 p.m. with a question and answer session and opporutnity to visit exhibits from 8 to 8:30 p.m.
