Barsha To Host "A Taste For Education" Benefit

Apr 13, 2015 10:35PM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Food and drinks for a great cause is the theme at the upcoming "A Taste for Education" fundraiser at Barsha Wines and Spirits on April 16. The event will support two non profits that help low-income students in greater Los Angeles and beyond -- Learning Rights Law Center and Minds Matter.

Now in its third year, the popular benefit is a fun, casual wine tasting of 30 small production and boutique wines. Attendees will also have a chance to enjoy small bites handcrafted by Barsha's chefs, local art, and a silent auction. The event will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Learning Rights Law Center is an LA-based organization that ensures educational equity for low income, special needs students; Minds Matter is a national nonprofit that helps high potential, low income students open doors to new opportunities by way of education.

Chevron is the event's lead sponsor. Local sponsors include the Manhattan Beach-based real estate blog Manhattan Beach Confidential. Thanks to contributions from the sponsors, 100 percent of the ticket costs will go toward the nonprofits.

Tickets are available for $100 each at www.atasteforeducation.com.
