Forty notable wineries are participating in the area’s first annual STARS of Napa Valley Wine Festival on Thursday, March 26. Held at Shade Hotel, the V.I.P. event begins at 6:15 p.m. with the main event starting at 7 p.m.
The wine festival, which replaces Shade's annual Ultimate Wine Festival which ran for 9 years, will showcase popular pours from wineries that include Quintessa; Alpha Omega; Trefethen; Heitz; Frank Family Vineyards; Barnett Vineyards; Bougetz Cellars; Black Stallion; Signorello Estate; Kenzo Estate; ZD Wines; Entre Nous Wines; Lail Vineyards, and Inglenook.
Shade Hotel, Manhattan Beach’s only luxury boutique hotel, has partnered with wineLA to host the wine festival, which celebrates some of Napa Valley’s most coveted wines.
One hundred percent of the event's silent auction proceeds will benefit Manhattan Beach MIddle School. Auction items will range from $250 to $2,000.
Event tickets, priced at $125 each, include an elegant assortment of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and a number of lofty auction items to bid on. V.I.P. tickets cost $175 per person. Any tickets sold at the door will cost $150 each. The event is limited to 350 guests and as of press time, V.I.P. tickets were sold out.
“Being the only luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan Beach, Shade owners Michael Zislis and Milo Bacic pride themselves on continuously building relationships with top-tier winemakers in the industry with the hope that our guests will be able to reap the benefits through our regular wine events,” said Shaunna McKelvey, general manager of Shade Hotel. “With this being our first year working with wineLA, we’re thrilled to be bringing a number of different wineries to Shade for the enjoyment of our guests.”
