Dec 06, 2014 09:29AM ● Published by DigMB Staff

This Manhattan Beach home is all dressed for the holiday season, and can be toured on the Sandpipers' Holiday Homes Tour.

One of Manhattan Beach's most spectacular homes can be toured on Saturday, Dec. 7 only, as part of Sandpipers' 22nd Annual Holiday Homes Tour, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 10,428-square-foot Mediterranean estate designed by Tomaro Design Group offers seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms in a hidden Manhattan Beach neighborhood. It was built in 2009 by Mike Davis Custom Homes. The main living area has an open and flowing indoor/outdoor floorplan that leads to a phenomenal backyard. The grounds offer numerous outdoor gathering areas including an impressive infinity pool and glass-tiled spa, an exterior living room with fireplace, a sunken conversation pit with a fire hearth, and a large outdoor BBQ/kitchen area with a breakfast bar.

The private estate joins three other homes to provide the holiday home tour experience of a lifetime. DigMB exclusively toured one home in MB and one in Hermosa Beach Friday, and found them to be design masterpieces you'll want to see.

The residence at 822 John St. boats holiday staging and decor by Maureen McBride of
Tabula Rasa Essentials, and floral arrangements by Kate Piliero of Floret Cadet of Manhattan Beach. The home was renovated in 2010 by Louie Tomaro of Tomaro Design and includes 100-year-old reclaimed New England barn wood used for ceilings, a wrap-around balcony at the back of the home that overlooks a custom-designed koi pond and waterfall fountain and tranquil landscaping, and a festively decorated interior with coastal influences.

Tickets are
$30 per person online or at any of the tour homes or the free public cafe and boutique at the Neptunian Woman's Club, 920 Highland Ave. Sandpipers requests that you wear flat shoes only and do not bring any large purses or bags. Visitors are also asked not to take any photos or use their cell phones inside the homes.

Additional tour homes are at 1134 19th St., Hermosa Beach and 112 20th St., MB, a Walk Street. A free shuttle service is provided as parking is at a premium and difficult to locate in most of these areas. The complimentary shuttle runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, leaving from home locations approximately 15 minutes apart.

Saturday, Dec. 6 also includes a one-day only Garden Oasis & Cafe complimentary to Holiday Homes Tour ticket holders, featuring GROW The Produce Shop and hot coffee from Luke's Cafe. Entertainment is set for 12 noon to 1 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. by the Trinity Singers and El Segundo Bell Choir, respectively.

The public is invited to attend the holiday boutique, featuring local artisans and vendors, and a café, at the Neptunian Woman’s Club at 920 Highland Ave. The boutique and cafe will offer shopping and refreshments for purchase.
