Downtown Manhattan Beach will welcome the holiday season with the 25th Annual Pier Lighting and the 20th Annual Holiday Open House on Wednesday, November 19 from 6-9 p.m.

Merchants will offer food, cheer and other fun treats, including special offers and discounts. The pier lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m., with the flip switched by Mayor Wayne Powell around 7 p.m. to turn the pier's holiday lights on.

The P.S. I Love You Foundation will be collecting unwrapped gifts for less fortunate children ages 5-12 at a table booth located at Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Manhattan Avenue as part of their 8th Annual Holiday Gift Giving program.

The following streets will be closed to accommodate the event:
  • Manhattan Avenue will be closed from 9th Street to Manhattan Beach Boulevard from 4-10:30 p.m.
  • Manhattan Beach Boulevard from Ocean Drive to The Strand will be closed from 5-10:30 p.m.
