This Friday, costumes aren't just for kids: Manhattan Beach business leaders who want to make new connections are invited to a Halloween-themed Business Connection Lunch where costumes are welcome and even encouraged.

The luncheon, organized by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Chevron, will be held at the Manhattan Beach Marriott from noon to 1:30 p.m. Admission to the luncheon costs $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.

At the luncheon, participants will be invited to take part in facilitated networking, practice their "elevator speech" and display their business collateral. Those who register by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 will be included on the "hot sheet" to be distributed to each attendee. Attendees are also invited to bring a door prize for extra exposure.

For those who do come in costume, the competition will be tight: A special prize will be awarded for "best costume."
