Pressed Juicery Celebrates First Anniversary; New Menu

Oct 14, 2014 11:04AM ● By Jeanne Fratello
Pressed Juicery is marking its one-year anniversary in its Manhattan Beach location on October 19 with an in-store celebration that is open to the public. The party, to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will feature tastings as well as gift cards and prize giveaways.

Pressed Juicery is also using the occasion to roll out its newly revamped menu, which it created in response to customer requests and feedback. The new menu features two soups and two smoothies exclusively available at the Manhattan Beach location, including a Green Soup made with cucumber, zucchini, spinach, avocado, garlic lemon, olive oil, and sea salt; and a Fruit Smoothie, blended with strawberry, banana, pineapple, apple, and coconut meat. Also at the Manhattan Beach store, as well as all other Pressed Juicery locations, are nine new beverages such as the “classic” and kid-friendly juices of orange, watermelon, and apple; unique coconut waters in rose and green flavors; a cold-pressed coffee drink; and a Brazil nut signature drink made with kale, spinach, romaine, dates, and sea salt.

Another notable change is that the prices have been reduced on all juices to $5 each, only at the Manhattan Beach location.

“We took our customers’ comments to heart when creating the new items, and saw an opportunity to improve the juices our fans have grown to love while adding a fresh twist to our menu,” says CEO and co-founder Hayden Slater. “This year has been big for us with ‘Freeze’ [Pressed Juicery's new soft-serve frozen treat] and the release of our first book, and we’re thrilled to keep this momentum going with our new items, and ongoing expansion throughout California.”

Pressed Juicery, founded in 2010, features fresh cold-pressed juices daily, with no sugar, sweeteners, fillers, or preservatives. The company, which specializes in juice cleanses, also offers at-home juice delivery services. It has 20 locations throughout California, with further expansion planned in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Francisco Bay Area markets.
