Is your kid a smart cookie? Now that school's back in session, he or she can have a sweet reward for all of those good grades coming home. For the month of September, if your child in grades K-8 brings home an "A" on a paper, he or she can bring the paper in to SusieCakes for a free snickerdoodle or chocolate chip cookie. (Please, no electronic grades.)

If your student wants extra "brownie points" he can come in and nominate his teacher and enter for a chance to win a gift certificate and cupcakes for the entire class.

SusieCakes, located just outside the Manhattan Village Mall, is an old-fashioned bakery making home-style dessert favorites baked from scratch. Its classic treats are made daily by in-house bakers, using the freshest ingredients. It is open from Monday-Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
