Manhattan Beach Scores High Marks on NerdWallet

Manhattan Beach is the top city among Los Angeles suburbs when it comes to being educated, according to NerdWallet. The financial website analyzed LA suburbs to see which performed the best across various economic, social and quality-of-life categories.
The city took the No. 2 spot for highest-earning households and highest health care coverage.
The city, which attracts residents who want their children attend the city's high-achieving Manhattan Beach Unified School District, is known for its cool ocean breezes, quaint seaside downtown and pier, and attractive lifestyle.
NerdWallet reports that 97.1% of residents are at least high school graduates, and that 73.2% of residents hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
In terms of household incomes, MB scored a 99.5% overall, with a median household income of $134,035. Data was obtained from the U.S. Census.
